Experimental: Reflection

Speaking as the director/producer of this project I will come out and say that I could have fulfilled my role more appropriately. I did write the script and plan all the locations for the movie as well as try and steer the project so that the group knew what was going on. I was also the contact between us and the various people we got permission to film from. In that sense I do feel as though I contributed well to the group although my organisation was poor which meant that we were constantly behind schedule. In hindsight I should have made a more structured shooting plan. With that said I do think our outcome was good, although not entirely as I had envisioned it I wanted ot give Ben and Aaron some creative freedom of their own which ended with my script being slightly different yet I prefer it in a way. Overall I am glad we didn't go too mad on effects during post-production and some scenes (particularly the waking up scene) came together very well. On a final note I am generally pleased we used an actor for this project although I spent far too much time trying to get the shot right as our chosen guy was not expressive enough. I have also taken the opportunity to creat e a mock-up title screen (above) which we didn't end up using in the film although I thought it fitted in well.
