In my script I have written in a small prop to help give some insight into why Mark, our protagonist conjurs up a cosmonaut as his 'spirit guide' during the lucid dream. The idea here is that there is an old postcard, sent by a friend to somebody in Marks family, maybe his Mother. Personaly I want to link it to his Dad, it is the last thing he has from his Dad and perhaps whoever sent it knows where he ended up or why he left. Anyway I found these two images:

A female Cosmonaut |

A cartoon spaceman resembling a Cosmonaut |
After I found these I began editing them, I wanted a written message to be on the card so I edited 'Greetings from Star City! xx' onto each to suggest the sender wishes them well from the Soviet Space training center. I edted the levels on each image and then in order to add a personal touch and vintage effect to each image I increased the size of the female drawing and added a vintage photo filter to it. I then took the male cartoon, changed the words in his thought bubble to something less contextualised and added a different vintage filter. I made two so that my group could have a choice as to their favourite and because I myself couldn't choose between the two images. I do all my work on Photoshop Elements. Here are the final edits:
