Drama: 10 Minute Ideas & Structure

So our idea for the ten minute film revolves around Castle Market, a new security guard on the job and a woman who is neither living nor dead. We want it to be scary but also for the narrative to make sense. We want our audience to empathise with our protagonist yet understand that he governed by his weaknesses. We want to link the history of castle Market to the film and use it to craft a story of paranormal experiences. Below is a rough scene by scene structure for the script I am working on. I am particularly interested in the myths and tales about Succubi and female demons who attract men like sirens to the cliffs. I will do a separate post on the mythology I want to draw upon and how it will work in the context of our film. Anyway, script structure is as follows.

Scene 1 - Prologue and protagonist's induction to the job. Warned about basement and the fact that it can't be opened from the inside.
Scene 2 - Locker Room scene - finds photo of woman.
Scene 3 - First night on the job, power goes out and he is knocked down.
Scene 4 - Cafè dream sequence where he meets woman and is seduced.
Scene 5 - Awakens to other guard taking over his shift goes home confused.
Scene 6 - Confronts manager about woman, is shown newspaper clipping from the 60s about a prostitute who goes missing. Only her clothes were found neatly laid on the floor of the marketplace.
Scene 7 - Next night, security camera shows clothes laid on floor, flashes to show woman lying in them. Protagonist investigates.
Scene 8 - Nearly enters basment but remembers warning, sees vision through door of man hanging with the woman dancing around him like a stripper. She claws and grabs at him.
Scene 9 - By this point he is scared to death, grabs co-worker and forces information out of him regarding the old security guard. He hung himself in the basement.
Scene 10 - Is lured from his office by woman, enters lift and is taken down to the basement. He cannot return up and she moves in on him. He is trapped.
Scene 11 - He bangs on the other side of the door, trying to get help. No one can hear him, the woman attacks him and blood trickles from under the door.
Scene 12 - Epilogue. - Similar to prologue with new security guard being shown the ropes. Implication of cyclical repitition of events and deeper conspiracy between the manager and the female appiration.

I think it would be great to hide hints throughout the movie which will reward multiple viewings. I may do a separate blog post on this to clearly define what we should show.
