Drama: Castle Market Research

The Market in the 1960s shortly after the expansion to the fish market opened.

A shot from outside in the 1960s.

A photograph from an art exhibition held in the market during the 60s, it used to be a big part of the community.

A cafe in the market which could be the scene of some paranormal activity in our film.

A shot from the first floor balcony showing the dilapidated 1950s style architecture.

A slightly haunting photo of the main entrance whilst the market is closed. The shutters show how the is no direct way in or out whilst our protagonist guards the site.
Above are some archive photographs I have found of Castle Market in Sheffield. We'd like to use this place as the main location for our horror film at which our protagonist works as a night time security guard. These photos are a nice snapshot of the past and will help us craft a spooky atmosphere and give the place a sense of history as we want to create a believable ghost story.
