Here is a short synopsis for my film, I initially decided to call my film 'Recurrence in the Transmundane' but I have since changed my mind and gone with 'Eternal Recurrence'
Eternal Recurrence is an experimental short film that explores the themes of faith and doubt. Drawing on the concept of Samsara the film portrays a man, who has woken in a realm of purgatory. As he journeys through an endless forest, the man begins to lose his faith allowing the doubt in his mind to manifest itself. Taking influence from Nietzschean philosophy and ancient spirituality, Eternal Recurrence poses the question, ‘are we doomed to repeat the same mistakes?’ or can we transcend the human condition in order to experience a greater life after death.
