Sound: Recordings

Here are most of the sounds I recorded for In Absentia

The majority of these are foley spot sounds which I'll use throughout my piece to give the objects and woman a sense of character and placement. I have also recorded a few atmos tracks such as 'outside sounds' to use throughout to give the locations a sense of space. I recorded these atmos at a higher db on the Marantz as I wanted the sound to be elevated and noisy to imply the pandemonium of th outside world in relation to the quiet confines of the Absentia room.

Here is the tune I made as well.

I made this in logic quite simply. I didn't want to create a vast, striking production as I want this music to be an ambient background sound in my piece and not command the action but compliment it instead. I took quite a bit of influence for this from Brian Eno's 'Ambient 4: On land' as some of the opening tracks have a similar sound which I feel really adds to the atmospheric nature of his music.
