Creative Project Realisation : The concept behind the NTSC colour bars and room colour

I am going to make use of the colours from the NTSC/PAL colour bars for each. I will edit each scene to a different colour from the bars and define the emotion that scene is portraying so the colour itself can be related to that emotion for example anger being shown as red. In this way I hope to link my piece to the use of televisions and evoke a sense that each one is a window into my character's identity and as a whole presents the colour bars which is a recognized symbol of broadcasting and Film. By detaching each scene from the others in the installation I hope to make my audience consider their own dominant emotions and think about their own identity, not only their sense of self but other people's interpretation of them within society and whether they fit into the social identity of the world around them. This can be exhibited when people put on a front and do not act like themselves in public and therefore hide their identity from others and bottle it deep within themselves.
