Creative Project Realisation: Photographs of Identity

I've taken these photographs in order to help me develop my idea but also as a way of showing the different concepts of Identity that i'd like to touch upon in my film.

Forest - evokes a sense of isolation, and also a feeling of being lost.

Grass on a hill - The idea of identity is conveyed through the unique nature of a blade of grass, also shows how people can get lost in a crowd, like grass on a lawn.

Isolated tree, detached from others, a form of individuality

Dawn - Dispelling the darkness has always had connotations for humans and suggests ideas about rebirth and the cyclical state of nature

Clouds - Each one is unique yet capable of merging with any other, a metaphor for social identity human interaction.

The Graveyard - A series of prints put into a photomontage. I love this technique  and feel that this image highlights death and the fact that we all end up in the same state despite our attempts to define ourselves in life.

Man- a Photograph of me, the head deliberately out of shot to avoid giving me an identity. Standing in a tunnel which no visible way in or out.

Grass - I love the tone of this image, it brings a feeling of detachment and shows nature in a barren state, devoid of personality or flare.

Window - Again, the tone in this is what I wanted to get across,  makes me imagine a mournful state of observation through a window and the world passing you by.

Fingerprint - We pretty much all have a different fingerprint, it is part of us and becomes our criminal identity if we are arrested.

Standing alone - My friend, standing on a hill, I like the framing of this shot and the fact that he is so small within the frame removes his human presence and takes away all sense of identity.
